Brandi S. Sanders is a singer, preacher, and teacher who has a passion for ministry to women. Born and raised in Chicago, Brandi has always served her community. She taught elementary school in Chicago for 5 years, has served several churches, and has worked as chaplain in multiple hospitals. Brandi currently serves as the Manager of Global Personnel for Serve Globally (ask her for the backstory), one of the mission priorities of the Evangelical Covenant Church. She works with global personnel all over the world as they prepare to return to the States, as they work towards credentialing, and most recently, as they navigate this global pandemic. As a young adult, Brandi discovered a passion for preaching God’s word. Brandi is an advocate for faith and forgiveness. Many people are familiar with Brandi’s singing gifts–she has been singing for as long as she can remember! Brandi is currently exploring other gifts and finding new hobbies. Near the end of 2020, she joined a virtual workout group and now appreciates being super sweaty at the end of a good workout. Brandi and her husband Leslie have 2 daughters, Sarabi and Rhyan.
Ciera is a Deeply Rooted alumn; she performed her spoken-word poetry for us in May 2017 and November 2018. She is a courageous, authentic person who writes deeply about her faith, doubts, discoveries, and struggles. Check her out here!
Joy and I feel like we need a gathering this year.
It has been a difficult time for all of us due to sickness, loss, fear, loneliness, and isolation. What better reason could we have for wanting to bring women together for encouragement and connection?!
We are putting on a super simplified version of Deeply Rooted. One night. One poet. One speaker. One group of women longing for encouragement with a side of joy. We’d love for you to come (if you are vaccinated, for the health and safety of our staff and attendees).
If you can’t come we would love for you to pray for us!
Tickets: $10 Students are free!! Scholarships are available.
Hoping to see you soon!
P.S. There is a chance Deeply Rooted will be livestreamed. We’ll keep you updated!
*In-person attendees must bring proof of vaccination.
Did you know that 3 bands are represented in our worship team? Hilde Bialach plays cello and sings for The Crossing, Brach Siemens plays guitar in The Unfortunate, Ed Bialach plays drums for Glenn Kaiser Band and The Unfortunate, and Glenn Kaiser is, of course, the vocalist and guitarist for GKB. Here is a little taste of what you’re going to experience tomorrow.
The men of Deeply Rooted. We couldn’t throw this party without their support and service. We are so grateful for David and Mila Baumgartner, Ed Bialach, Brach Siemens, Juan Carlos Garzon, and Glenn Kaiser. #bestofmen#getdeeplyrooted
More views of @935wilsonabbey waiting to be filled by expectant women this Saturday, and @colleensacelt and @greeneyedlense working on the hand-drawn banners. It’s getting real, people. #deeplyrootedchicago#getdeeplyrooted
Our designers are hard at work on the banners for our Saturday night gathering. We are so thankful for talented, gifted, skilled visionaries who can take some ideas and images and create an EXPERIENCE. It’s going to be beautiful and memorable. #getdeeplyrooted#deeplyrootedchicago
