Where can I eat lunch?

If you have not bought a ticket for the catered lunch, there are options for you in the neighborhood. Wilson Abbey is connected to Everybody’s Coffee, which has grab and go sandwiches, quiche, pastries, and more, handmade by Baker Miller, which mills stone-ground, organic, non-GMO grains locally sourced in the Midwest.  Close by is Wabi Sabi Rotary sushi which is a cool experience.A neighborhood legend, Uptown Pizza and BBQ is a block away. What it lacks in ambiance it makes up for with an amazing coffee shake. There’s a Japanese ramen restaurant, Futatsuki Ramen, within walking distance. A McDonald’s and Sonic are within walking distance. Two blocks away is Palla’s Grill, a Greek diner. We highly recommend the charbroiled Greek chicken.

What if I have dietary restrictions?

We will have gluten and dairy-free options at our dessert reception and our November catering chef is aware of your needs and will accommodate you.

Are children welcome?

Nursing babies and girls 13 and up are welcome, but unfortunately we can’t have children attend since we record each speaker.

What should I bring?

Basically everything you would need for a sleepover. We provide hot showers and mattresses, but you will need sleeping bags, pillows, toiletries, towels, Bibles/journals, etc.

What should I wear?

It’s a very casual environment, so please dress comfortably. Dress in layers to accommodate temperature changes. We will be meeting in one building with an elevator so there is not much walking, unless you will be eating lunch offsite. Our local restaurants are within a few blocks’ walking distance.
