Ciera has been with us for a few gatherings now. She’s just that good; we keep inviting her back!

She is a writer and educator from Philadelphia, PA who moved to Chicago in 2014. Since moving to Chicago, Ciera has found her passion in working with youth in various capacities through teaching, after-school programs, mentoring, or coaching. Ciera currently works at DePaul University where she trains faculty on how to be better educators. Ciera also builds out lacrosse programs at various Chicago Public Schools on the South and West Sides.  When she is not working, Ciera likes to work out, try new recipes, and write poetry for fun.
